You may ask at any time, free of charge, whether and which data we process about you, for what purpose and who receives it.

Rectification (Article 16 GDPR)

If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that it be corrected or completed.

Erasure (Article 17 GDPR)

You may request erasure of your data where the statutory conditions are met and no retention obligation applies.

Restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

Instead of erasure you may ask us to restrict processing, for example while the accuracy of your data is being checked.

Data portability (Article 20 GDPR)

Data you provided on the basis of consent or a contract will be handed to you, or to a recipient you name, in a common machine-readable format.

Withdrawal of consent (Article 7(3) GDPR)

You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawing is as easy as giving: open the cookie settings from the link in the footer of every page, or from the button in section 6.

Complaint to a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR)

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place on this website.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted as a static site on Amazon Web Services (AWS Amplify and Amazon CloudFront). When a page is requested, the provider processes the connection data technically required to deliver it, including your IP address. How Amazon Web Services handles that data is set out in the Amazon Web Services privacy notice.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and fast delivery of the website.

5. Server log files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information your browser transmits. That is:

• browser type and version
• operating system used
• referrer URL
• hostname of the accessing device
• time of the server request
• IP address

We do not merge this data with other sources. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is technically error-free operation and defence against attacks.

6. Cookies and consent

Simply opening a page stores only what is necessary to operate it. Your cookie choice itself is kept locally in your browser so we do not have to ask again on every visit; it is not transmitted to us.

Everything else loads only once you agree. That covers three groups:

7. Contacting us

There is no contact form on this website. If you write to us by email, we process your details solely to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or steps prior to one, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in responding.

Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without it, however, we cannot answer your enquiry.

8. Audience measurement

The following services load only if you agreed to the "Analytics and statistics" category. Without that agreement none of them is loaded and no connection to them is opened.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TNGK7CDQ4J) to see which pages are read and how visitors reach us. Google Tag Manager (container GTM-M95WPD3) is the tool through which these services are embedded; it collects no metrics of its own but loads the services named here. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. IP anonymisation is enabled.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity analyses how pages are actually used. It records mouse movement, scrolling and clicks and aggregates them into session recordings and heatmaps. The provider is Microsoft Corporation. If you do not want this, do not agree to the "Analytics and statistics" category, or withdraw it via the cookie settings.

Legal basis and transfer to the USA

In all cases the legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with Section 25(1) TDDDG. With these services personal data may also be transferred to the USA. Which safeguards each provider relies on for that transfer is set out in its own privacy information: Google privacy policy · Microsoft privacy statement.

9. Advertising

A Google Ads tag is embedded on this website (conversion ID AW-17721409833). It measures whether a visit originates from an advertisement. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The tag loads only if you agreed to the "Advertising and comparison calculators" category. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with Section 25(1) TDDDG. A transfer to the USA is possible here too; details are in the Google privacy policy.

10. Our partners’ comparison calculators

The tariff calculators on our pages are not ours. They come from two partners:

A calculator does not load automatically. As long as you have not agreed to the "Advertising and comparison calculators" category, you see a placeholder with a button in its place. Only when you click it, or agree to the category, does your browser open a connection to the partner.

On loading, your IP address plus browser and device details are transmitted to the partner, and the partner can store cookies on your device. The purpose is comparing tariffs and requesting offers. Whatever you then enter into the calculator is processed by the partner under its own responsibility; we have no access to it and do not see the entered data. How long the partner keeps that data is set out in its privacy policy linked above.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you give either via the cookie settings or by clicking the button on the calculator itself.

11. How we make money

checkalle.de is free for you. If a contract or enquiry comes about through one of the calculators, we receive a commission from the partner concerned. The price for you does not change. That commission is why the calculators are embedded on these pages, and we say so here so you can judge our content accordingly.

12. Retention

Where no explicit period is stated in the sections above, these criteria apply:

• Server log files are kept by the hosting provider only as long as needed for security and error analysis, then deleted.
• Email enquiries are kept until your matter is fully resolved. After that we delete them unless a commercial or tax retention obligation applies.
• Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser data.
• How long Google, Microsoft, CHECK24 and Tarifcheck keep the data arising on their side is determined by those providers. The details are in the privacy policies linked above.

13. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS, shown by the https in the address bar), so the transmitted content cannot be read by third parties.

14. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the services in use or the legal requirements change. The version published here is the one that applies; the date is at the top of this page. Your next visit is governed by the version current at that time.
